The ICYFP is home to a PhD Concentration at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management, ranked 9th in the US for programs in Social Policy (2012). Within the Institute, PhD students regularly engage with staff on grant-funded projects and collaborate on papers and conference presentations. CYF student work is regularly showcased at poster sessions, conferences and on our website. Senior staff at ICYFP have also developed a new summer internship for CYF PhD students to assist with the development of indicators for the Diversitydatakids.org Project, funded by the WK Kellogg Foundation. These internships provided paid summer research opportunities for CYF PhD students with funding provided by the ICYFP endowment. At ICYFP, students' interests and research are given strong priority. Our research staff is thrilled to engage with students on many levels, offering opportunities for growth, development, and mentoring on collaborative projects as well as independent research.
In the greater academic community and beyond, ICYFP researchers and faculty regularly give presentations at public engagements, conferences and at collaborating universities and local organizations.
